We IIIntroduce Nick, Catherine, Eve, and Simon.
Named after a number plate, Wiiince write songs about the minutiae of the awkward parts of life, and awkwardness of life’s minutiae. Their songs are mercifully short (average length 2:27), and sound like if your favourite indie pop band was forced to construct songs from one chorus and an outro. If they were only allowed choruses from Pavement and outros from mclusky you’d be close to how they’d like to sound. Despite this they were once described as “endearing indie-pop” but have since become a little harder to love.
Formed in 2018 Wiiince feature former members of Ace Bushy Striptease, The Shalfonts, and Maybe Don’t. They originally called Birmingham home, but are now thinly spread from there to Nottingham and Oxford. Never happier than when opening a show for a band they love, they have been lucky enough to play shows with Martha, Me Rex, Podcasts, and Supermilk. They are punctual and polite, so why not add them to your bill?
